Common Reasons for Google rejected ad takedown requests

Aggregators, Coupon, and Reseller Sites

Google generally does not action takedown requests for ads originating from aggregators, coupon providers, or reseller websites. Please review the advertiser’s site before submitting a report to Adthena, as these site types are often exempt from enforcement.

Malicious Ads

Also known as “malvertising,” malicious ads include those involved in harmful behavior such as phishing. If you encounter an ad that appears to be malicious, please use the Report ad button (found under the three-dot menu next to the ad) and follow the phishing reporting pathway. Be sure to mention “phishing ad” in the comments to help expedite Google’s review.
