Trend Chart
Once you set up your first infringement rule, the Trend Chart will display the daily count of competitors who infringed and the number of ad instances within the selected date range. An "Ad" refers to unique ad copy, while an "instance" is a single detection of that ad—meaning the same ad can have multiple instances.
Selecting a Rule
From the drop down menu, All Rules, select the rule you are interested in viewing.
Date Picker
The date picker, found in the top-right corner of most sections in the app, lets you adjust the time range for the chart or table data within the feature.
Date Selection Options
Days: View daily data from the last 30 days. You can select specific days or a range of days.
Weeks: Selecting a date older than 30 days will show weekly data, aggregated from Sunday to Saturday. You’ll always see data up to the most recent completed Saturday, regardless of your chosen end date. You can select individual weeks or multiple weeks from the past 13 months.
Months: Selecting a date older than 13 months displays monthly data. Choose specific months, or group them into quarters or full years.
Last 12 Months: Shows data from the past 52 weeks, giving you a rolling year view.
Export the Infringement Report
You can export the report as a CSV file to access a detailed record of all time-stamped infringement evidence. The exported CSV also includes information such as the date, time, search term, position, competitor, title, description, display URL, destination URL, and ad click URL. For a detailed explanation of each column in the downloaded CSV, see Infringement CSV report - what do the columns mean?
Preview the Infringement
Adthena keeps a time-stamped record of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) so that you can see exactly the page that was displayed when the specific search term was searched and the Infringement took place. This preview can also help identify the ad extensions competitors are using, the site links they are promoting, where these links lead on their site, and which news articles were active that day.
View the infringing ads on the time-stamped SERP by clicking Preview under the competitor infringement example
If no ads are visible after the SERP loads, please check for any active ad-blocking software and disable it to ensure ads are displayed correctly.
FAQ
