AI Ads Intelligence is a paid add-on that gives you national-level visibility into how your ads perform within AI-generated search answers. At launch, the report covers both ChatGPT ads and Google AI Mode ads in a single unified view, with a dedicated tab for each platform.
With AI Ads Intelligence, you can:
- See where your ads appear across the prompts being tracked
- Identify which competitors are running ads on those same prompts
- Monitor your share of ad presence and how it changes over time
- Discover prompts where neither you nor your competitors are advertising — so you can act on those opportunities.
You can find the AI Ads Intelligence report under AI Search in the left-hand navigation. The report is split into tabs - one for ChatGPT and one for Google AI Mode — so you can review each platform independently.

Filtering
At the top of the report, you can switch between ChatGPT and Google AI Mode. The platform data available to you depends on your subscription. The report displays data for the last 30 days. This window is fixed and applies across all charts and tables in the report.
The Prompts filter allows you to narrow the report to a specific subset of your tracked prompts. Select one or more prompts to focus your analysis on particular topics or search behaviours.
KPI Tiles
At the top of the report, four summary tiles give you a snapshot of your current ad performance.
- Ad Presence Rate — How often your ad appeared when we checked your tracked prompts in the last 30 days. Calculated as the number of times your ad was detected ÷ total checks × 100.
- Prompts with Ads — The number of your tracked prompts where your ad was detected at least once in the last 30 days. Out of your total tracked prompts.
- Competitors Detected — The number of unique competitors detected advertising on your tracked prompts in the last 30 days.
- Top Competitor — The competitor whose ad appeared most often on your tracked prompts in the last 30 days. Their presence rate is calculated the same way as yours — number of times their ad was detected ÷ total checks × 100.
Each tile also shows the change over the last 30 days, so you can quickly see whether your presence is growing or declining.
Are Your Ads Gaining Momentum?
This chart shows how your ad presence rate has trended over time. Use it to identify patterns in when your ads appear — for example, whether frequency increases at certain points — and to track whether your overall presence is improving.
How Does Your Ads Presence Compare To Your Top 5 Competitors?
This chart compares your share of ad impressions against your top competitors. It shows how you and each competitor rank in terms of ad presence across your tracked prompts, and how those positions are shifting over time. Use this to understand the competitive landscape and spot opportunities to close gaps or defend your position.
Where Are Your Ads Appearing?
This table lists the specific prompts where your ads have been detected. For each prompt, you can see your ad detection rate, how many competitors are present, and who the top competitor is. Use this view to understand which prompts are already working well for you and how you compare to the leading competitor on each one.
Column Overview
- Your Ads Detection Rate - How often your ad was detected when this prompt was queried during the selected period, expressed as a percentage of total prompt runs.
- Competitors Present - The number of competitors whose ads were also detected on this prompt.
- Average Competitor Ads Detection Rate - The average ads detection rate of the competitors found on this prompt.
- You vs Top Competitor - The difference between your detection rate and your competitor's detection rate on this prompt. Positive values mean you're ahead; negative values indicate a gap to close.
- Top Competitor - The competitor with the highest detection rate on this prompt.
- Top Competitor Rate - The detection rate of the top competitor on this prompt.
Where Are Competitors Appearing That You’re Not?
This table shows prompts where competitors have been detected but your ads have not. It highlights the average competitor detection rate, the number of competitors present, and the top competitor for each prompt.
You can use the table filter to narrow this view to prompts where no advertisers - including competitors - have been detected yet. These represent untapped opportunities where you could be first to establish an ad presence.
Column Overview
- Average Competitor Ads Detection Rate - The average ad detection rate across all competitors on this prompt. Gives a benchmark for the level of competition you'd be entering.
- Competitors Present - The number of competitors running ads on this prompt where none of your ads were detected.
- Top Competitor - The competitor with the highest detection rate on this prompt.
- Top Competitor Rate - The detection rate of the leading competitor on this prompt — indicating how established their presence is in a space you're currently absent from.
Where is no one advertising?
This table lists prompts where no ads have been detected - from you or any competitor. These are completely untapped opportunities where you could be first to establish a presence. Use this view to inform your strategy and get ahead before the competition moves in.
