Group Management is a dedicated place within the application where you can manage both your Competitor and Search Term Groups. These groups allow you to segment your market however you like throughout the Adthena application.
Create groups to represent partners, niche competitors, market leaders or any other segment that may be useful to you.
Create a new group
To create a new group, click on 'Create New Group' in the top right corner and give your group a name. The default view in the table below is 'All Competitors' (competitors may or may not be in this group), but you can also select 'Group Competitors Only' (only competitors in a pre-existing group).
Add Competitors into the Group by typing the competitor domain in the Filter box or add in bulk via a CSV upload. Then click 'Add' or 'Add all' to right of the Competitor in the table. Competitors can also be removed from a group in the same way.
You can edit and delete any group except 'Named Competitors' and 'Ignored Competitors'
The table shows the Competitor domain, the count of all search terms we have seen you and this competitor appear on and the percentage of your search terms we have this Competitor appear on. The table can be sorted by clicking on the headers and all data can be exported as a CSV file.
Search Term Groups
Create groups to represent products, categories, themes, or any other segment that may be useful to you.
Search Terms are grouped into two types: Standard and Brand. Brand contains all of your Brand* and Brand Generic terms.
All Brand groups are scraped at least 24 times per day/device (so 48 times collectively). These groups can be identified by the 'increased scraping' symbol to the left of the group.
Adthena Artificial Intelligence versus User Managed
The groups are either managed by Adthena's Artificial Intelligence (AI) or those created by the user. Both categories can be identified by the symbol to left of the group in the list.

Create a new Group
To create a new group, click on 'Create New Group' in the top right corner and give your group a name. The default view in the table below is 'All Search terms' (terms may or may not be in this group), but you can also select 'Search terms in group' (only terms in a pre-existing group).
Add Search Terms into the Group by typing the Search Term in the Filter box or add in bulk via a CSV upload. Then click 'Add' or 'Add all' to right of the Search Term in the table. Search Terms can also be removed from a group in the same way.
Editing an existing Group
Adthena AI groups are automatically created and managed by Adthena's Artificial Intelligence and cannot be edited or deleted by the user.
Copy data from another Group
Add all the terms from one group into any other search term group by clicking on 'Load group terms'; this helps you create similar groups faster and start from an existing group to make modifications. You will only be able to load in terms compatible with your group type (brand groups can only have brand and brand generic terms).
The table shows the Search Term, as well as:
Market Share: Percentage of total relevant impressions attributed to this search term.
Status: Search terms in your Whole Market have a check mark in the status column and will be taken into account throughout the app. Search terms not in your Whole Market will have an explanation for why they are not taken into account. For example: Low Volume, Not in Market and misspelling.
Competitors: Count of Competitors we have seen appear on the search term.
Your Impression Share: Estimated percentage of impressions on this search term that you have appeared on in the last 30 days.
Your Average Position: Your average position on this search term over the last 30 days.
The table can be sorted by clicking on the headers and data can be exported as a CSV file.
