Page updated 2nd June
Further to our update on May 26th regarding Google rolling out a significant change to volumes on misspellings and close variants that have impacted accounts. Our engineers have rolled out multiple updates that have correctly re-identified search terms as misspellings and close variants. We are continuing to monitor the situation over the coming weeks and will make further updates as needed.
At this point, we anticipate little to no remaining impact on any customer accounts. You may notice your market share and trends charts have changed since last week which could be due to these terms being corrected.
If you have any questions or concerns about your account, please reach out to our support team or your Customer Success Manager.
Thank you for your patience.
Google has rolled out a significant change where they now provide volumes on search terms that are misspellings and close variants. As a result, you may see new search terms appear in your Whole Market, which could affect your Market Share and Trends.
We are investigating any changes Adthena may make as a result of this change, to keep providing you with the most complete and accurate data on your market. We will keep you updated and apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
In the meantime, if there are new search terms being pulled into your Whole Market that you wish to remove, you can use the ignored search terms feature to hide them from the platform. Please feel free to contact your Customer Success Manager to ignore any search terms you do not want to see in your account, or otherwise assist you.
If you are experiencing an issue with your data and think it may be related to this change made by Google, please email email@example.com.
