Which PLA types are captured?

Google Shopping - Top PLAs apply to SERP data and standard Product shopping ads only. Standard Product Shopping ads are the image + product listing that you can scroll right/left through on the SERP.

What data does Adthena collect from Google Shopping ads?

Adthena collects the title, description, image, price, and advertiser of all the shopping ads seen. You can see this data in the Google Shopping feature.

Are Showcase Shopping Ads captured?

Adthena does not currently capture Showcase Shopping Ads data.

Are Local Inventory Ads captured?

Yes but the data is rolled up into PLA data.

Are free listing shopping ads captured?

Adthena does not currently capture free listing shopping ads data.

Are Gallery Ads captured?

Yes, but the data is rolled up into text ads data.

Are Call Ads captured?

Adthena does not currently capture Call ads data.

Are Universal App Campaign ads captured?

Adthena does not currently capture Universal App Campaign ads data.

Are Featured Snippets captured?

Adthena does not currently capture Featured Snippets data.

Are Site links/Extensions captured?

Adthena does not currently capture Site links/Extensions data.

Is Google Search App on mobile indexed?

No. The Google Search App is a feature on Android phones that allows for searching directly from the home screen of a phone. Since it does not utilize the traditional Google SERP, it is not indexed by Adthena.

Are App Install Ads captured?

Occasionally on the mobile SERP Google will display an APP Install Ad at the top of the page. App install ads from the Google Play or Apple app store are allocated to those domains. If you would like to hide them from your reports, please add these domains to your ignored competitor list in Exclusions.
