Navigate to SERP Tracker
To view the SERP Tracker, go to the left-hand navigation menu, click on the Brand Protection tab, and select SERP Tracker from the dropdown list.
Date Picker
The date picker, found in the top-right corner, lets you adjust the time range for the data.
Selecting a Rule
From the drop down menu, All Rules, select the rule you are interested in viewing.
Settings
By accessing SERP Tracker Settings, you can create new infringement rules, modify existing ones, or pause or delete rules as needed. See How to Set Up and Manage Infringement Rules.
Trend Chart
Once you set up your first infringement rule, the Trend Chart will display the daily count of competitors who infringed and the number of ad instances within the selected date range. An "Ad" refers to unique ad copy, while an "instance" is a single detection of that ad—meaning the same ad can have multiple instances.
Export Data
You can export the report as a CSV file to access a detailed record of all time-stamped infringement evidence. The exported CSV also includes information such as the date, time, search term, position, competitor, title, description, display URL, destination URL, and ad click URL. For a detailed explanation of each column in the downloaded CSV, see Infringement CSV Report: Column Definitions.
Preview the Infringement
Adthena keeps a time-stamped record of the Search Engine Results Page (SERP) so that you can see exactly the page that was displayed when the specific search term was searched and the Infringement took place. This preview can also help identify the ad extensions competitors are using, the site links they are promoting, where these links lead on their site, and which news articles were active that day.
View the infringing ads on the time-stamped SERP by clicking Preview under the competitor infringement example.
If no ads appear after the SERP has loaded, please verify whether any ad-blocking software is active and disable it to allow ads to display properly. If the infringement report shows 'No data found,' it means there are no infringements within the selected date range.
Share Evidence Screenshot
To save or share the SERP screenshot, you can either copy the URL or download the full image by selecting Copy URL or Download in the top right corner of the SERP preview page. The capture date and time of the evidence are also displayed for your reference.
