Managing Your AIO Content Search Terms
The top section gives you an overview and key controls for managing content search terms within your selected domain and location.
Use the domain and location selector to switch between different markets or sites. The search term usage bar shows how much of your allocated capacity is currently in use, helping you quickly see how much space remains. You can also request additional capacity if needed, or add new search terms for tracking and analysis.
This table provides an overview of your tracked search terms, along with key metadata to help you manage, filter, and analyze them effectively. Each row represents a single search term, and the columns provide additional context about how that term is being used.
The table shows:
- Search Term - Displays the search term being tracked.
- Group(s) - Indicates how many groups the search term has been assigned to.
- Location(s) - Shows the number of locations where the search term is active or being monitored. Selecting the eyeball shows you which locations the search term is associated with.
- Last Updated - Displays the most recent date when the search term or its settings were modified.
- Last Updated by - Identifies the user who last made changes to the search term.
Key Considerations When Uploading AI Overview Content Search Terms

- Hyphens (-)
- Apostrophes (within a term)
- Ampersands (&)
- Periods (within the text, but not at the end)
- Plus signs (+)
- Accented characters
- Plus at End: Terms may end with a plus sign (+). Example: "Disney+" → Accepted
Periods within Text: Periods are allowed within a term, as long as they are not the final character. Example: “8 ft. ladder” → Accepted
❌ Not Allowed
The following formats or characters will cause a term to be rejected:
- Word Limit: Terms containing more than 10 words are not allowed.
- Invalid Starting Characters: Terms beginning with -, /, _, or ' will be rejected.
- Blocked Symbols: Colons (:), parentheses (), commas (,), question marks (?), pipes (|), at signs (@), percent signs (%), and emojis will cause rejection.
