Icebreaker time! 3 things about me, 3 things about you 🍻
Hey everybody! One of the reasons we launched the Adthena community is so you can network and meet other awesome Adthena customers, and digital marketers like yourself. To get started, I’d like to introduce a fun little icebreaker for us to get to know each other.
It’s called “Fill in the blanks: 3 things about me, 3 things about you!”
I’ll go first.
The most outrageous travel experience I’ve had…. Sleeping in a treehouse Airbnb in Bali, Indonesia. We were in the middle of a rice field, but thankfully still had running water and wifi (here’s where we stayed.) 🌴
I'm passionate about... books, writing and self-development. I'm always keen to hear people's stories, motivations and the lessons they've learned. Working on the marketing team @ Adthena, I really enjoy the chance to hear directly from our customers.
It drives me crazy when… I accidentally get lost on London's network of trains and buses. There have been many unexpected journeys to new destinations as a result. 🏴
Okay, now it’s your turn - take the prompts above and tell us about you. Leave a comment below with your intro! 😄

Love it Imaan,
Here's my 3 things about me....
The most outrageous travel experience I’ve had…. I volunteered at an animal sanctuary in Bolivia for 2 weeks. I was in charge of the small animal zoo including turtles & tayhorns. My fruit store was raided by a monkey from another part of the sanctuary, and he stole all my bananas! Other fellow volunteers had to do things like walk a Puma or a Bear. It was nuts. 🍌
I'm passionate about... Producing engaging content that engages our audiences, effective design and branding and creative copywriting.
It drives me crazy when… people listen to videos/or have phone calls without headphones in public spaces, on the bus/train/restaurant - using the loud, tinny squark of their device speakers which we all have to listen to! Drives me CRAZY!
....Who's next?
-
Wow Imaan Virani ! A tree house in Bali sounds pretty amazing! Sarah Dutton - pretty certain I can't top that travel experience! Do I really need to follow on from that? :)
The most outrageous travel experience I’ve had….I spent a month travelling through Vietnam. It was one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Incredible food, people, culture and scenery. Unforgettable.
On one of the last few days of the trip whilst in Ho Chi Minh City I was knocked down by a motorist who attempted to pull my bag (containing passport, and all my money) off of me. It took a couple of yards before the strap snapped, releasing myself, and the bag. Luckily, I still had my possessions in hand. Just a bit shaken, but mostly relieved that I still had my passport!
I'm passionate about... making customers happy :)
It drives me crazy when… Slow running Internet interrupts a task. [Bangs head against a wall]

Amazing, ladies! I need to get out more.
The most outrageous travel experience I’ve had…. would likely be when I was traveling to Acadia National Park in Maine and I was attacked by a goat! Literally, it came after me in full fledge sprint, knocked my legs out from underneath me and began using my body as a trampoline. The only major bruising was to my ego. Ha!
The most memorable experience would have to be our week long trip to Ireland, seeing the sights along the Ring of Kerry. Highly recommend!
I'm passionate about... helping others solve problems (professionally)! In my personal life, I focus on my "6 F's": faith, family, friends, fitness, finances & fun! If I'm away from my desk, I'm investing in one of these.
It drives me crazy when… ketchup packets are the only option. I'm starving and nobody's got time for that!
-
Oooh. Pick me. Pick me. Here are my 3 things...
The most outrageous travel experience I've had....my brother, two other friends, and myself one time flew out to Flagstaff, Arizona and then drove up to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. The next morning, we ran from the North Rim of the Grand Canyon and then turned around and ran back. 47 miles and almost 11,000 vertical feet up and 11,000 vertical feet down. Running across one of the seven wonders of the world twice with my brother was a special memory. Seemed pretty normal to us at the time. Now it seems outrageous.
I'm passionate about...the big simple in my professional life. And the big simple in my personal life.
It drives me crazy when...when people overcomplicate things. Inconsistent usage of the oxford common and similar to Sarah, people who are very loud phone talkers like the person who shares a wall with me in my new co-working space and who is the Chief Revenue Officer of some global telecom company and he's literally screaming on the phone as I type this.

A few things about me I'd love to share...
Where I want to travel to next... As soon as things open up properly, I'm booking my flight to Japan! It's always been on the bucket list and since travel has been so restricted it's about time it happened.
I'm passionate about... I enjoy combining my hobby in sports with my profession in data. It offers a completely new perspective on fairly old traditional games.
It drives me crazy when... the dogs begin barking as soon as a call will start!!

Love this Imaan Virani
Please see below my 3 things...
The most outrageous travel experience I've had....was when I scuba-dived in the Great Barrier Reef, but also sky-dived over it too. It was the most beautiful experience and the view was from the Sky Dive was AMAZING.
I'm passionate about...being yourself and learning. I think it's extremely important to always remain true to yourself and not to worry about other people's opinions. It's also very important to always keep learning and bettering yourself.
It drives me crazy when...people chew really LOUD.
-
Amazing Luisa Delmaschio! Love to see it. I've actually always had a fear of scuba diving... but maybe eventually ;) Also definitely agree on learning and bettering yourself! I read "Atomic Habits" earlier this year and thought it was great. Would highly recommend :)

What a great idea, Imaan Virani!
Please see below my 3 things...
The most outrageous travel experience I've had... was when I visited Playa del Carmen, Mexico and swam in a beautiful cave with dolphins, I bought a GoPro for this trip and got some insane pictures! I also visited 1 of the 7th Wonders of The World, Chicen Itza.
I'm passionate about... enjoying what you do day in day out. I've had my fair share of jobs where I just haven't felt fulfiled and now that I've found my perfect job here at Jellyfish, I can't explain how great it feels waking up every day enjoying what I do for a living!
It drives me crazy when... slow walkers!!
-
Awesome Jennie Ling! My wife and I had our honeymoon in Playa (10 yrs next year). So pretty. If we make it back, I'm definitely going to reach out to you for some details on how I get to swim with dolphins in caves!
It's very refreshing to hear when people are so in love with their work. I can hear the passion just seeping from your pores!
I'm with you on the slow walkers. Sadly, I've lost some speed over the years. Wrangling 3 kids under 5 is usually my excuse when we're the ones holding up the train... Haha!
Thanks for posting and looking forward to hearing more from you!
