All Competitors Table
The All Competitors table shows the following data:
- Competitor – Displays the domain of the competing advertiser.
- Percentage of Your Terms the Competitor Appears On – Known as inward overlap. This shows how often the competitor shows up on the same search terms as you.
- Percentage of Competitor’s Terms You Appear On – Referred to as outward overlap. This indicates how frequently you appear on the same search terms as the competitor.
Important Notes About Competitors
- An advertiser is classified as an in-market competitor if they consistently have both inward and outward overlap greater than 1.5%. Competitors below this threshold won’t appear in Adthena by default. However, you can still view their data by adding them as a Named Competitor—the data will become available within a few days.
- If a competitor’s domain no longer exists, we’re unable to track it, and their data (including historical data) is removed from the app. As a result, you won’t be able to filter by that domain in the All Competitors view.
- If the competitor has simply exited the market but the domain is still live, you can add them as a Named Competitor to access their historical data.
- If your domain doesn’t show 100% in both overlap columns, it’s likely due to how your priority and ignored search terms are configured.
- Adding priority terms that you don’t appear on will lower the inward overlap (% of your terms the competitor appears on).
- Adding ignored terms that you normally do appear on will lower the outward overlap (% of competitor terms you appear on).
